The electronic vignette Slovenia is a modern way of paying road tolls for motor vehicles with a permissible total weight up to 3500 kg . Basic features of electronic   the vignettes do not differ much from the classic vignette in the form of a sticker. This means that when buying electronic   vignette you get the right to use all highways and express roads in the Republic of Slovenia for the period of validity of the electronic vignette, and the toll is not paid on the basis of the distance traveled. Vehicles without a valid electronic vignette cannot enter the toll road. The electronic vignette is linked to the vehicle registration number. When purchasing an electronic vignette, please provide the correct license plate number and country of registration of the vehicle, and select the electronic vignette for the appropriate fee class. If the registration number in the electronic vignette system does not match the registration number of a vehicle traveling on a motorway or expressway, the toll is not considered paid. It is the customer's responsibility to enter the correct registration number and select the appropriate fee class.

Types, classes and prices of e-vignettes

Grade 1 -   motorbikes and scooters
The first payable class covers single-track motor vehicles (e.g. motorcycles). Single-track motor vehicles are all vehicles with a track gauge up to 50 centimeters. You can use a tape measure or a tailor's yardstick to measure the path from one outer edge to the other.

Grade 2A
Class 2A covers vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3,500 kg and a height above the front axle of up to 1.3 meters (most passenger cars, minivans, off-road vehicles, SUVs and pick-ups). < br />
Class 2B
Class 2B covers vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3500 kg and a height above the front axle of more than 1.3 meters (most vehicles are multifunctional and light trucks).


Vignette validity period

Annual electronic vignette Slovakia
An annual electronic vignette is valid from the starting date of validity selected by the buyer until the end of the same day in the following year. For example: if you buy an annual e-vignette and choose April 15, 2022 as its effective date, you can use motorways and express roads with this e-vignette up to and including April 15, 2023, i.e. midnight on that day. The only exception to the annual e-vignette is in a leap year, when February 29, which is not included in the calendar of the following year, will be selected by the customer as the start date – in this case, the annual e-vignette will expire on February 28 of the following year.

The annual vignette is valid from the start date selected by the user until the end of the same day after six months or until the last day of that month if there is no such day in the sixth month. For example: if you choose April 15, 2022 as the start date of the validity of the perennial e-vignette, you can use motorways and express roads with this e-vignette up to and including October 15, 2022, i.e. midnight. day. And if you select May 31, 2022 as the start date of validity, the validity of the annual e-vignette will expire on November 30. The yearly e-vignette is only available for the first toll class, which is two-track motor vehicles (motorbikes).

Monthly electronic vignette Slovakia
The electronic monthly vignette is valid from the start date selected by the user until the end of the same day in the following month or until the last day of that month if there is no such day. For example: if you select April 15, 2022 as the effective date of your electronic monthly vignette, you can use motorways and expressways with this electronic vignette up to and including May 15, 2022, i.e. midnight on that date. And if you select May 31, 2022 as the validity start date, the monthly electronic vignette will expire on June 30. Electronic monthly vignettes will be available for toll payment from February 1, 2022. Until then, you will be able to pay for this period by purchasing and correctly installing a regular vignette in the form of a sticker.

Weekly electronic vignette for Slovakia
The electronic weekly vignette is valid for seven consecutive days from the starting date of its validity chosen by the customer. The first day of validity of the weekly e-vignette always counts (This means that the weekly e-vignette is valid on the starting date of its validity and for the next six days). For example: if you purchase an electronic weekly vignette and select Friday 15 April 2022 as the start date, you can use motorways and expressways with this electronic midnight vignette on Thursday 21 April 2022. Weekly electronic vignettes will be available for toll payment from February 1, 2022. Until then, it will be possible to pay the toll for this period by purchasing and correctly fitting a regular sticker in the form of a sticker.
